A Business Builders Workshop,Focusing on Value in Your Organization, will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2 - 4 pm, Brooke County Library, Wellsburg, WV, in the Elmer Vincent Room.

The event is open to individuals and organizations that are looking for tools to help them improve their business processes and lower costs, stated Joan Beck, President of the Brooke County Economic Development Authority.

Lean and Six Sigma process improvement tools have been around for awhile, but oftentimes, people think that these tools only work in manufacturing, added Marvin Six, Executive Director for the Business Development Corporation.

Workshop facilitators are Andy Wowczuk (West Virginia Manufacturing Extension Partnership) and Kevin DiGregorio (IMPACT Professional Services - two accomplished, results-driven professionals with a successful track record driving system improvements, organizational change, innovation, and leadership development. In addition, a panel of 5 professionals shall share actual success stories and respond to questions from the audience.

Andy holds international ASQ certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt. He offers over 20 years of diversified experience working with start-up as well as veteran companies in the engineering, electronics, consumer, medical device, and food processing industries over the past 20 years.

Kevin holds a PhD and possesses over 16 years in the chemical processing/engineering field, and has assisted medical centers, IT organizations, school systems, churches, R&D centers, public services, and other organizations with lean process applications.

The workshop asks a nominal fee of $20.00 per person. Seating is limited, so pre-registration is necessary , stated Ed Powell of the SBDC.
